The iconic jewellery brand has finally arrived on the Indian soil as they flung their doors open for business in the Capital aftera soft launch on the eve of Republic Day

Tiffany will start with two stores -- one in New Delhi and another in Mumbai -- that will carry the same assortment of silver and gold bracelets, necklaces and rings available in other markets, along with higher-end items with gemstones 

Tiffany plans to open stores in New Delhi and Mumbai in the second half of fiscal years 2019 and 2020 respectively, the company said, adding that India's "growing luxury consumer base presents a unique opportunity".

The buzz is that the most famous jewellery brand worldwide, Tiffany & Co is ready with a plan to hit the Indian market with Reliance Brands as the franchise partner. Reliance Brands said it does not comment on “speculative news”. "As per our policy on rumors and speculation, we politely decline to comment," said a spokesperson from Tiffany.

With the new store, the company will have total 55 showrooms under the 'PC Jeweller' brand located across 46 cities in India.
